About The Race
The date of The 2010 Murfreesboro Half Marathon, “The Middle Half,” will be Saturday, October 16th. Registration began at 7 a.m. (C.S.T.) on May 1, 2010. Check out the video below to learn more about The Middle Half!
2,250 spots will be available for participating athletes in 2010. The race begins at 7:00 am, (Wheelchair start at 6:55 am).
Fees:
$50 May 1 – May 31, 2010
$55 June 1 – July 31, 2010
$65 August 1 – October 13, 2010
Race registration closes at midnight, October 13, 2010 or when the field of 2,250 athletes is reached, whichever is sooner.
The Course
The Middle Half course is flat, fast and fun with many interesting sights along the way! Click for this year’s map, water/aid stations and street closures.
Regulations
All runners must follow the rules set forth by the board of the Murfreesboro Half Marathon. These rules are for the safety of our athletes. The Murfreesboro Half Marathon reserves the right to disqualify and remove from the course any person who disobeys these rules.

Packet Pickup
Race packets include the runner’s bib number, safety pins, timing device and tech shirt. Packets must be picked up during regular Packet Pickup hours. See the Race Packet Info page for more information.

Brightroom Photography will be on the course taking pictures… be sure to smile as you cross the finish line!
Awards
Besides your finisher’s medal, you have many other chances to win an award: 14 age groups, Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Wheelchair, Rutherford County Resident, Course Record-breaker, and one for the person who finishes in the middle of the pack – The DNJ Middle Medal! And this year the Murfreesboro Pacers are sponsoring 6 cash awards for Rutherford County residents.

Pre-Race Pasta Party
Join your fellow runners for a delicious pasta meal prepared by Maple Street Grill on the historic Downtown Square.

Race Day Parking
Early arrival on Race Day is highly recommended due to street closures and the number of vehicles arriving at the same time. Greenland Drive will be entirely closed from Old Lascassas to Champions Way on race day.
A – GREENLAND DRIVE PARKING LOT

ENTRANCE to this parking area will be closed between 6:30 a.m and 10:30 am.
EXIT: Before 6:30 a.m. and after 7:15 am – LEFT TURN ONLY
B – GREENLAND / MIDDLE TENN BLVD PARKING LOT
Approx 5-10 minute walk to start.
Entrance/Exit will be closed between 6:50-7:15 am
C – BELL STREET PARKING LOT
Approx 10-15 minute walk to start.
D – RUTHERFORD BLVD PARKING LOT
Approx 15 – 20 minute walk to start
Additional Parking is available throughout the MTSU campus.
