			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes! Walkers are welcome to participate in the Middle Half.</p>
<p>There are a few things you should consider, though, before you sign up.</p>
<p>Walkers MUST be at Mile 6 no later that 1-1/2 hours after the start of the race. We promised the City of Murfreesboro that the downtown streets would be open to traffic by then. </p>
<p>That means you must be able to average a 15-minute mile for 6 miles. If you&#8217;re not sure, try walking one mile in 15 minutes. It&#8217;s a very brisk pace. There will be a &#8220;Sag Wagon&#8221; this year to transport anyone who feels they cannot keep up this pace. Of course, you&#8217;ve got several months to build up to it if you&#8217;re not quite there yet. Keep moving!</p>
